Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• BSME or 8+ years of equivalent experience.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency.
• Experience with drive products and panels.
• Understanding of sheet metal and welded structure design.
• Ability to create technical drawings and BOMs.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine SolidWorks models for drives, switchgear, and panels.
• Develop and update sheet metal and weldment drawings.
• Create 2D drawings from 3D models to company standards.
• Investigate and implement product changes through ECOs.
• Generate and maintain bills of materials in the MRP system.
• Support shop floor teams with assembly and design troubleshooting.
• Perform mechanical strength calculations and simulations when needed.
• Participate in design reviews and review peer drawings.
• Support vendor-part inspections and technical issues.

Compensation: $ 85000 - 100000 annually, depending on experience

This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on mechanical engineer who enjoys taking ideas from concept to production. You’ll support the design, development, and improvement of drive products, switchgear, and panels while partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and support teams. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and refine SolidWorks models for drives, switchgear, and panels
• Develop and update sheet metal and weldment drawings
• Create 2D drawings from 3D models to company standards
• Investigate and implement product changes through ECOs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Familiarity with UL347, UL508, and UL50
• Experience in industrial automation
• Mechanical stress and load calculation experience
• SolidWorks Simulation experience
• MRP or ERP system experience, such as Sage
• Background in metal fabrication, forming, or welding practices
