Position Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to lead the design and development of custom packaging machinery from concept through production. This role will collaborate cross-functionally across engineering disciplines and play a key part in delivering high-quality, safe, and innovative automation solutions. Ideal candidates are hands-on, technically strong, and experienced in designing machinery and systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design of mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Develop detailed documentation and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, applications, procurement, and assembly technicians.
• Manage mechanical aspects of projects, including schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation.
• Communicate project updates and solutions to both internal teams and clients.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years experience (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, PDM, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience designing manufacturing or packaging equipment.
• Strong verbal/written communication and project coordination skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.

Preferred:

• Experience in packaging or industrial automation industries.
• Client-facing or trade show representation.
• Mentorship or leadership experience.
