Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for large-scale commercial projects, multi-family buildings, and high-rise developments. Experience with K-12 projects is a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, building codes, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for complex building projects.
• Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Utilize CAD and Revit software to create accurate and efficient building system designs.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other project stakeholders.
• Perform load calculations, energy analysis, and system sizing.
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant US Building codes and standards (e.g., IBC).
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mechanical system design for large commercial projects.
• Proficiency in CAD and Revit software.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with relevant US building codes and standards (e.g.,IBC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with multi-family buildings and high-rise projects.
• Experience with green building design and sustainable practices is a plus.
• K-12 project experience is a plus.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Green Building Rating Systems (e.g., IGBC, LEED).
• Experience with energy simulation software.
