Sulzer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Santa Ana to design, develop, and implement innovative products. You will drive mechanical engineering solutions from feasibility to production with cross-functional collaboration and hands-on design work.

Qualifications

• BSME or 10+ years in engineering to cover the duties listed.
• 1+ years in mechanical engineering for rotating equipment or related R&D.
• Experience with multidisciplinary development teams and processes.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and development of new products and technologies.
• Lead mechanical design of product improvements for cost out or consolidation.
• Generate and evaluate concepts, prototypes, and design alternatives.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analysis.
• Develop detailed 3D CAD models, drawings and technical documentation.
• Conduct design verification, validation testing, and root cause analysis.
• Review and check engineering documentation, specs and change requests.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
