Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components. You will drive feasibility through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Qualifications

• B.S.M.E. required; M.S. in mech eng. desirable; PE license preferred.
• 8+ years in rotating equipment product development, R&D, or advanced engineering environments.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects from feasibility through implementation.
• Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, casting, assembly).
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Experience with engineering test methods, verification protocols, and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; ability to mentor.

Professional Engineer (PE) license**Experience:****Required:**8+ years of mechanical engineering in rotating equipment product development, R&D, or advanced engineering environments.Proven experience leading complex engineering projects from feasibility through implementation.Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in a development environment.Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal fabrication, casting, and assembly.Experience with engineering test methods, verification protocols, and data analysis. **Preferred:** Project management within a Phase Gate process.
