The Client

We are partnering with a leading global infrastructure developer to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale data center projects across the United States.

The Role

This position sits at the heart of project delivery, working closely with development and project teams to provide technical leadership across design, specification, and execution. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of performance, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support development teams with RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation
• Review and guide design across mechanical & electrical systems
• Evaluate and select equipment aligned with customer requirements
• Provide technical input throughout the design and delivery lifecycle
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and contractors
• Drive optimisation, efficiency, and continuous improvement post-delivery
• Manage design processes, approvals, and stakeholder coordination
• Support feasibility and due diligence for new developments
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team capability

About You

• Degree-qualified in Engineering, Architecture, or similar
• 10+ years’ experience within data center environments
• Strong project leadership across multi-disciplinary teams
• Deep understanding of data center design (BOD) and infrastructure systems
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and vendor relationships
• Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to hyperscale or colocation data centers is highly desirable
