Job summary

EarthStream Global is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or other technically demanding environments. The role spans design, technical due diligence, construction and commissioning, requiring both attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture.

You will review designs, visit sites, work with contractors and vendors, and help ensure mechanical systems meet required standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing mechanical designs, drawings and specifications for data center projects.
• Looking at existing and proposed HVAC, cooling, chilled water, pumps, chillers, heat rejection and other mechanical systems.
• Carrying out technical reviews of third-party data center sites and highlighting any risks or areas that need attention.
• Reviewing RFIs, submittals, equipment information and design changes.
• Supporting technical due diligence and helping put together engineering reports and presentations.
• Looking at the reliability, availability and maintainability of mechanical systems.
• Working with senior engineers and operations teams on technical questions and design issues.
• Visiting construction sites to check that mechanical installations are being delivered in line with the drawings and specifications.
• Supporting key construction and commissioning activities when required.
• Working with contractors, consultants, suppliers and third-party data center operators to resolve technical issues.
• Helping improve engineering standards, processes and the way technical due diligence is carried out.

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or another technically demanding environment.

The role will sit across design, technical due diligence, construction and commissioning, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail but can also step back and look at the bigger picture.
