Overview

Immediate need for a talented Mechanical Engineer. This is a 06+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Richmond, VA (Onsite).

Base pay range

$75.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $75 - $80/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience
  • Key Skills: Mechanical Engineering.
  • Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Project Management Experience.
  • Good Communication, Writing & Organizational Skills.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Detailed Engineering ability for pumps and valves but will be working with vendors for these specific but good to know.
High Level Project Overview

This project is a series of individual projects resulting from future gas turbine modifications being made that has downstream effects on equipment such as HRSGs, relief valves, control valves, BFW and Condensate pumps, further analysis of equipment etc.

The person needs to have a strong handle on engineering and project management and be able to talk with vendors and internally; to finalize the necessary changes the study identified and pull together specifications needed for either direct purchase or the development of SOW to go out to bid.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
