Job summary

L&T Technology Services is seeking a Dev/Research Engineer 2 to support the research, design, development, testing, and investigation of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes.

The candidate will apply structured problem solving, work with CAD tools, read blueprints, and communicate findings across teams. 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with 3D modeling and engineering drawing/detailing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test mechanical tools, engines, machines, and related components.
• Analyze design proposals, specifications, and technical documentation to evaluate project feasibility, time, and cost.
• Investigate equipment failures and technical issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the development of structural designs using CAD and other engineering tools.
• Create and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, schematics, and technical documentation.

• Perform hands‑on evaluation using laboratory equipment, measurement tools, microscopes, and hand tools as needed.
• Support Design FMEA, validation planning, and DVP&R activities.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively with cross‑functional teams.
