Mechanical Engineer
On-site in Pensacola, FL

A growing engineering organization is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to help deliver impactful building system projects across new construction, modernization, and facility improvement work. The right person will bring solid HVAC and plumbing design expertise, confidence working across disciplines, and a hands‑on approach to supporting projects from concept through construction.

What You Will Do

Lead mechanical and plumbing design efforts for renovation, upgrade, and new build projects.

  • Prepare coordinated engineering drawings, system layouts, design calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Support the development of HVAC, plumbing, and related building system solutions with strong attention to code compliance and constructability.
  • Partner closely with architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams to keep project deliverables aligned and well coordinated.
  • Evaluate existing conditions and contribute practical recommendations for system improvements and project execution.
  • Provide technical support during construction, including review of submittals, responses to field questions, and participation in site observations.
  • Contribute to quality reviews, schedule alignment, and overall design consistency across assigned work.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, commissioning‑related coordination, and final documentation review.
What You Bring
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive mechanical and plumbing design experience within an A/E environment.
  • Active Florida Professional Engineer license, or eligibility for immediate reciprocity.
  • Experience designing building systems and supporting engineering documentation for commercial, institutional, or complex facilities work.
  • Working knowledge of central utility systems, mechanical code review, and construction‑phase engineering support.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Carrier HAP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and field stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment, organization, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage priorities across multiple project demands.
