ABOUT THE COMPANY

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our IT team. This role requires someone who aligns with our core values: Courage, Ownership, Collaboration, Integrity, and Innovation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is responsible for planning and executing maintenance tasks and capital projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties include, but are not limited to:

1. Planning and executing preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks.
2. Managing and coordinating shutdown activities and maintenance projects.
3. Providing mechanical expertise and preparing/modifying CAD drawings.
4. Responding to and resolving safety concerns promptly.
5. Conducting hazard identification and risk assessments with the Maintenance team.
6. Preparing and updating maintenance work instructions and documentation.
7. Identifying and ordering mechanical parts.
8. Coordinating and supervising contractor activities.
9. Managing small projects from concept to completion, including budget management.
10. Assisting in preparing site maintenance permits for high-risk activities.
11. Adhering to company policies and procedures, including PCC Code of Conduct, Quality, and EHS Rules.
12. Performing other duties as assigned based on skills and company needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should have:

1. At least 3 years of relevant experience.
2. An Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments is highly regarded.
4. Proven influencing and negotiating skills.
5. Experience with plant installations.
6. Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.
7. Experience in operation, maintenance, and reliability.
8. Project management experience.
9. Strong understanding of operational and manufacturing processes.
