Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer 2. The work will be done 100% onsite, initially in Mossville, IL, with the position moving to East Peoria, IL in February 2027. This is a 24-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $38/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of axle housing and drivetrain components used across a variety of heavy equipment applications. Working closely with a Senior Design Engineer, this position will perform concept design, Creo 3D modeling, stress and life analysis, and assessment of part nonconformance risk. The role provides exposure to detailed component design as well as collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and global engineering teams.
This position offers an opportunity to gain experience in specialized drivetrain component design while supporting products across a broad range of heavy equipment applications. You’ll work alongside an experienced engineering team and gain exposure to Creo design, structural analysis, cast components, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and global product-development activities.
