Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, validation engineering, or related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Creo (Pro/E) or equivalent 3D CAD modeling software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, drawing standards, and specifications.
  • Experience with mechanical problem solving, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and concept development.
  • Product development experience involving design, validation testing, and/or simulation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop product concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design, develop, and validate mechanical components, systems, and installations.
  • Determine project scope, requirements, and necessary engineering actions for assigned projects.
  • Create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings using Creo/Pro-E or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Support engineering change processes, including drawing updates and engineering notices.
  • Develop designs for mechanical components such as tube and hose routings, air intake and exhaust systems, cooling structures and components, fabricated steel structures, and non-metallic components.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to evaluate component packaging and space claims.
  • Apply engineering principles related to fluid mechanics, kinematics, machine design, strength of materials, structural fatigue, and heat transfer.
  • Investigate equipment failures and manufacturing issues to identify root causes and develop solutions.
  • Support problem-solving activities, troubleshooting, concept development, and corrective actions.
  • Review field history and incorporate lessons learned into product improvements.
  • Work with manufacturing and operations teams to address factory-related issues and support continuous improvement.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of engine installation and cooling systems for large off-highway equipment. This role will focus on the integration of mechanical components and subsystems, including air intake systems, cooling structures, exhaust components, fuel lines, tube and hose routings, fabricated steel structures, mounting systems, and non-metallic components. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with 3D CAD modeling, and the ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, operations, quality, and supplier teams. This position offers exposure to product development activities, engineering analysis, factory support, and complex mechanical system integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research, design, develop, and validate mechanical components, systems, and installations.
  • Determine project scope, requirements, and necessary engineering actions for assigned projects.

  • Investigate equipment failures and manufacturing issues to identify root causes and develop solutions.
  • Support problem-solving activities, troubleshooting, concept development, and corrective actions.
  • Review field history and incorporate lessons learned into product improvements.
  • Work directly with manufacturing and operations teams to address factory-related issues and support continuous improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with quality, manufacturing, validation, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to understand manufacturing capabilities, process limitations, and potential design improvements.
  • Support product development activities, including design, validation testing, and simulation.
  • Create and present project updates and technical information to stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while driving timely execution and implementation.
  • Support production implementation and coordinate schedules with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain compliance with engineering processes, drawing standards, specifications, and release workflows.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Internship experience may be considered toward applicable experience requirements.
  • Experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, validation engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with Creo (Pro/E) or equivalent 3D CAD modeling software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes, drawing standards, and specifications.
  • Experience with mechanical problem solving, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and concept development.
  • Product development experience involving product design, validation testing, and/or simulation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to develop product concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting committed timelines.

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems involving fluid flow, heat transfer, machine design, structural fatigue, or strength of materials.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or factory operations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional product development teams.
