Job summary

Westmor Industries in Morris, MN is seeking a Design Engineer to develop layouts for truck and trailer equipment, perform design analyses, and implement product improvements in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

A BS in Mechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor, and ANSYS are required. You will ensure designs meet engineering standards and support ongoing R&D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor, and ANSYS or similar software.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills required.

Job Description

A Design Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:Design LayoutsPerform design analysis for truck and trailer equipmentImplement product improvements in an evolving industryEvaluate and implement design changesProjects are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectationsDedication to research and development of productsDesigns meet Westmor Industries engineering standardsDesign analyses, drawings, and bills of materials are accurateOther duties as assigned

Compensation

The starting pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
