Job summary

Westmor Industries is seeking a Design Engineer to perform design analysis for truck and trailer equipment and implement product improvements in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will evaluate design changes, ensure accuracy of drawings and BOMs, and contribute to R&D efforts to drive product innovation while maintaining manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Training and/or experience with CAD/FEA tools.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks/Inventor, and Ansys or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description

A Design Engineer is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Perform design analysis for truck and trailer equipment
• Implement product improvements in an evolving industry
• Evaluate and implement design changes
• Projects are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations
• Dedication to research and development of products
• Design analyses, drawings, and bills of materials are accurate
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
