Job summary

Stealth Startup in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–7 years of hands-on hardware design to build the physical platform behind a next-generation directed energy system. You will own sheet metal and CNC-machined part design and contribute to prototyping and testing efforts.

You are a capable, hands-on contributor with CAD expertise and a background in electromechanical or robotic systems, including experience with gimbal systems, RF components, and embedded electronics.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of mechanical engineering experience with hardware design.
• Hands-on contributor with sheet metal and CNC-machined parts experience.
• Experience building electromechanical or robotic systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design the physical hardware for a next-generation directed energy system.
• Own sheet metal and CNC-machined part design from concept to prototyping.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to validate mechanical and RF interfaces.
