Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a Bay Area Infrastructure team responsible for designing and building office spaces, labs, and manufacturing facilities with a focus on HVAC and piping systems.

The role includes project execution, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on implementation across multiple Bay Area sites, with travel to locations such as Lathrop and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience drafting, designing, and engineering HVAC systems, including boilers, pumps, and air compressors.
• Experience drafting, designing, and creating schematic drawings with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with California building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable, code-compliant mechanical designs for Bay Area infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to execute projects across multiple sites including Lathrop.

Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will support a Bay Area Infrastructure team responsible for designing and building new office spaces, laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and other critical infrastructure projects throughout the Bay Area. This role requires strong expertise in HVAC and/or process piping systems, with responsibility for developing scalable, code-compliant, and constructible mechanical designs that support rapidly growing operations. Working cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and operations teams, this individual will help deliver infrastructure projects that enable advanced manufacturing, automation, energy, robotics, artificial intelligence, and other innovative technologies. The position combines mechanical design, project execution, and hands-on implementation in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure solutions.

Candidates will be required to travel throughout the Bay Area to support multiple sites, including Lathrop. Occasional overtime may be required, so it's important that candidates are comfortable with both travel demands and a flexible schedule. We're seeking self-starters who are highly motivated, eager to learn, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment while supporting projects across multiple locations.

Required Skills

• The team is also seeking a Staff-Level Mechanical Engineer who can serve as a subject matter expert (SME).
• Experience drafting, designing, and engineering HVAC systems, including:

• Air Compressors
