Job summary

IMA Life North America is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design capital process equipment for pharmaceutical applications. The role involves pressure vessel design per ASME Sec. VIII Div.

1, hydraulics, pneumatics, and aseptic processes, plus stress analyses and FEA, interfacing with fabrication, piping, heat transfer, instrumentation, controls, and refrigeration. You will manage projects, monitor costs, support start-up and validation activities, and uphold SHEQ requirements across the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or related engineering discipline with 5–10 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload and drafting resources.
  • Proficiency with computer tools and drawing software.
  • Ability to work independently with good communication.

Responsibilities

  • Design capital process equipment and pressure vessels.
  • Perform stress analyses and finite element analyses (FEA).
  • Interface with stainless steel fabrication, piping, flow, heat transfer, instrumentation, controls, and refrigeration systems.
  • Manage projects, monitor cost variances, and interact with customers and internal teams.
  • Support equipment start-up and validation activities.
  • Promote and adhere to SHEQ requirements for yourself, your department, and all contractors and visitors.

Job Summary
  • Apply knowledge of pressure vessel design, including ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 standards, in the design of capital process equipment.
  • Design machinery and systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and aseptic process machine production.
  • Conduct stress analyses and finite element analyses (FEA) and work with stainless steel fabrication, piping, flow, heat transfer, instrumentation, controls, and refrigeration systems.
  • You will develop and comprehend large industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and related applications.
  • Manage projects, monitor cost variances, and interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Support equipment start-up and validation activities.
  • Promote and adhere to SHEQ (safety, health, environment, and quality) requirements for yourself, your department, and all contractors and visitors.
Skills And Experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or related engineering discipline with 5 to 10 years of experience.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and that of drafting resources.
  • Proficiency in computer tools and drawing software is required.
  • Ability to work independently with efficiency and strong communication skills.

  • Availability for overtime when required.
SALARY RANGE
  • $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • Bonus.
