Job summary

Talently, a leader in the motor vehicle parts manufacturing space, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and sustain mechanical and electromechanical systems that directly support production efficiency and equipment reliability.

You will collaborate with planning, design, and suppliers to develop tooling, oversee fabrication and installation, and apply SPC to forecast maintenance needs; lead vendor relations and ensure drawings release and conformance to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4+ years hands-on manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD for mechanical design and drawing release.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical/electromechanical system design.
  • Experience with vendor relations, equipment specification, and procurement processes.
  • SPC usage to evaluate equipment capability.
  • Lead fabrication/installation activities with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation to meet engineering designs and specs.
  • Collaborate with planning and design teams to develop tooling and equipment for efficient production methods.
  • Work with vendors to define equipment specs, procure parts, and evaluate vendor equipment.
  • Apply statistical methods to assess equipment capability and forecast maintenance needs.
  • Research equipment designs and recommend design approaches.
  • Design mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems and ensure proper interfaces.
  • Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication, testing, and development of control apparatus.
  • Coordinate maintenance to optimize machine utilization and reduce malfunctions.

The position is ideal for a hands‑on engineer who enjoys cross‑functional collaboration, vendor coordination, and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems conform to engineering designs and specifications.
  • Collaborate with planning and design teams to develop tooling and equipment that enable efficient production methods.
  • Work with vendors to define equipment specifications, procure materials or parts, and evaluate vendor‑supplied equipment against quality and performance standards.
  • Apply statistical methods to assess equipment capability and support forecasting of maintenance or mold repair requirements.
  • Research and analyze equipment design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility and recommend design approaches.
  • Design mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems and ensure proper interfaces between machines, hardware, and software.
  • Plan and direct engineering personnel in fabrication, testing, and development of control apparatus, methods, and procedures.
  • Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair activities to optimize machine utilization and recommend modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
Must-Have Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline (required).
  • Minimum 4 years of hands‑on manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within automotive or motor vehicle parts production.
  • Proficiency in CAD for mechanical design and drawing release.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electromechanical system design, including hydraulic, thermal, and machine interfaces.
  • Experience with vendor relations, equipment specification, and procurement processes.
  • Practical application of statistical methods (e.g., SPC) to evaluate equipment capability and inform maintenance/repair decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead fabrication/installation activities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement production solutions.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Experience with PLC programming and control systems integration.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation, utilities, and plant‑level systems.
  • Background in robotics, automation, or controls engineering used in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with GD&T, FEA, or advanced simulation tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications in manufacturing/quality engineering.
  • Previous experience in supplier quality assurance, vendor auditing, or equipment qualification.
