Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with AutoCAD and 3D software such as Inventor or MicroStation
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards including OSHA, AISC, and ASME (Section VIII, B31.1, B31.3)
• Familiarity with structural steel welding and pressure vessel design
• Ability to apply advanced geometry and complex design concepts
• Strong verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated, analytical, quick learner, and problem solver
• Capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Team-oriented with adaptability to work in both metric and imperial measurement systems

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in designing ducting, piping, and vessel layout drawings
• Familiarity with fabrication and erection drawings review
• Ability to evaluate constructability and propose process improvements
• Experience working with vendors and supporting site inspections

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on design and drafting experience in structural steel, vessels, ducting, and piping within power, industrial, or petrochemical industries

Other Requirements:

• Ability to travel approximately 10% for site visits and vendor inspections
• Prior experience collaborating with project managers, fabrication shops, and third parties
