Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Occasionally visiting sites to see designs in action.

Overview

Mechanical Engineer – Automation & Tooling Design — I’m working with a client in the automation space who’s looking for a mechanical engineer that loves turning a blank page into a fully-realised system layout. If you’re into 2D layouts and SolidWorks tooling design — and like seeing your work go from screen to shop floor, you’ll want to hear about this. This role is hands-on with design, not just following templates. You’ll be part of the process from initial layout concepts right through to equipment installation, making sure everything fits, functions, and meets spec.

Responsibilities

• Producing 2D robotic/system layouts in line with safety and customer requirements.


• Designing end-of-arm tooling and application-specific equipment in SolidWorks.


• Coordinating with CAD designers to get drawings out the door on time.


• Managing multiple live design projects without dropping the ball.


• Occasionally heading to site to see your designs in action.
