Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Detroit to take designs beyond CAD and see them built, installed, and used in real manufacturing environments across North America.

You’ll work directly with fabrication, assembly, and integration teams to solve production challenges and own projects from concept through build to production on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of mechanical design experience
• Automation, tooling, or manufacturing equipment background

Responsibilities

• Translate CAD concepts into build-ready designs for robotic workcells, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling
• Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and integration teams to solve real production challenges on the shop floor
• Own projects from concept through build to production, with direct interaction with customers and internal stakeholders
