Job summary

Core States Group is offering a Mechanical Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 in Bentonville, AR. You’ll work with experienced engineers on HVAC and plumbing systems, gaining hands-on design experience during an 11-week program.

You’ll participate in design calculations, coordination meetings, site visits, and documentation efforts, learning sustainable building system design in a dynamic AEC environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Interested in HVAC, plumbing, and building systems design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC and plumbing design calculations
• Support equipment selection and system layouts
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings
• Review construction documents and shop drawings
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress
• Learn about sustainable and energy-efficient building system design
• Assist with preparing engineering documentation and specifications
