M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Systems Safety Engineer to oversee safe isolation of mechanical systems at mission-critical data centers.

You will read P&IDs and commissioning documents to translate requirements into safe field practices and support the Mechanical Energy Marshal in LOTO implementation. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years in mechanical field engineering, commissioning, or maintenance, with experience in P&ID review, energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with startup/commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with hazardous energy control and LOTO practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe isolation of mechanical energy sources during construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations.
• Collaborate with Electrical Marshals to coordinate interdependent systems.
• Lead pre-isolation and startup meetings and ensure zero-energy state during activities.
• Develop and enforce mechanical LOTO permits and absence-of-energy verifications.
