Job summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking a Mechanical / Electrical Test Technician at the Minneapolis site. You will perform Environmental and Mechanical testing, construct fixtures, install sensors, and maintain thorough documentation under supervision to deliver accurate test results.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED with 2+ years in a testing-related field, strong safety practices, and proficiency with computer tools.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a testing related field
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Possess computer skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform Environmental and Mechanical testing following standard or customer procedures
  • Possess an ability to construct and maintain test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order based on client needs
  • Install and utilize various sensors (primarily pressure, temperature, and flow sensors)
  • Produce high quality test results that conform to recognized standards or customer requirements
  • Oversee multiple projects and be responsible for day-to-day activities, including updating client and coordinating and reporting activities with supervisor and other team members
  • Install and utilize various sensors (pressure, temperature, electrical, and flow sensors)
  • Maintain datasheets, traveler documents, maintenance logs, and other essential paperwork
  • Possess independent thought and problem solving abilities, including mechanical creativity and resourcefulness
  • Summarize and report test data in a clear and concise manner
  • Keep safety and quality a top priority and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions
  • Perform other related duties as required
