Job summary

Divine Space Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical / Electrical (M&E) Engineer to manage, design, and oversee building services installations on our projects. The role ensures that M&E systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local regulations.

You will liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors, prepare shop drawings and load calculations, review submittals, and supervise testing and commissioning to hand over fully commissioned systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of M&E experience in building/construction.
• Knowledge of local codes: SCDF, BCA, CP5.
• Experience with AutoCAD; BIM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Prepare and review M&E shop drawings, schematics, load calculations, and specs.
• Provide technical support to QS with M&E cost estimates, verifying material quantities, and evaluating variation orders.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, contractors to resolve clashes on-site.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure M&E works are safe, on schedule, and comply with standards.
• Manage and supervise Testing and Commissioning of all M&E equipment before handover.
• Review sub-contractor submissions, including material approvals, method statements, and O&M manuals.
• Monitor progress and implement engineering solutions.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mechanical / Electrical (M&E) Engineer to join our team. As an M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, designing, and overseeing the installation of mechanical and electrical systems for our construction projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all M&E building services operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and oversee the installation of building services including HVAC, electrical power, lighting, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Prepare and review M&E shop drawings, schematic diagrams, load calculations, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support to the Quantity Surveying (QS) team by assisting with M&E cost estimations, verifying material quantities, and evaluating variation orders and progress claims.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, main contractors, and sub-contractors to resolve technical clashes and integration issues on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all M&E works are executed safely, on schedule, and strictly comply with regulatory standards (e.g., BCA, NEA, SCDF) and project specifications.
• Manage and supervise the Testing and Commissioning (T&C) of all mechanical and electrical equipment prior to handover.
• Review and evaluate sub-contractor submissions, including material approvals, method statements, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential technical issues early, and implement effective engineering solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working as an M&E Engineer in the building and construction industry, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of local Singapore building codes, safety regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., SCDF, BCA, CP5).
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit / Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a strong advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
