Job summary

Wiley|Wilson in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-In-Training to join our Mechanical Engineering team. You will design HVAC, plumbing and related systems under licensed engineers and gain hands-on experience across project phases to build a solid foundation for a PE license.

Working with architects and other engineers, you will develop mechanical plans, perform calculations, apply codes, and prepare technical documentation while contributing to real projects from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• FE Exam passed by start date.
• U.S. work eligibility and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and apply codes/standards.
• Prepare and review technical documentation; assist with field investigations and testing.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate mechanical systems into building design.
