Job summary

Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) is seeking a Mechanical EIT to support senior design staff on diverse projects in a multi-location US practice. The role involves learning industry standards, applying Revit and CAD tools, and assisting in design analyses under supervision.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree, have knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD and MS Office, and are eager to grow in a collaborative consulting environment with a focus on quality and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• Knowledge of industry specific software (Revit and AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Assists senior design staff in execution of technical activities on assigned projects.
• Produces designs using Revit and/or CAD with guidance from senior staff.
• Performs basic engineering calculations and design tasks under supervision.
• Coordinates project designs with other disciplines to determine equipment needs.
• Assists in development of technical documentation, proposals, and presentations.
• Participates in field visits to observe conditions and progress.
• Reads blueprints, specifications, and engineering reports.
• Attends training and educational opportunities to gain knowledge in technical areas.
