Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. is seeking a CAD Drafting/Mechanical Engineering support specialist to create detailed HVAC schematics and layouts. You will work with Mechanical Engineers to develop plans, perform site surveys, and maintain CAD standards.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT is required. The role emphasizes autonomous decision-making, strong communication, and the ability to learn new software. On-site CAD work and coordination with engineers are essential aspects of daily

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required or 2 years of CAD Drafting experience with formal AutoCAD/REVIT Drafting training/certification enrollment or completion.
• Must make autonomous decisions based on experience and project requirements.
• Develop a working knowledge of Permitting submittal requirements in the Mechanical field.
• Computer-savvy, willing and able to understand and learn new software programs. Developing proficiency of AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other related software applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Draft and develop layouts for mechanical systems based on direction from Mechanical Engineers.

• Participate in the company’s project improvement process by maintaining/improving CAD Detail Library and CAD Standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks assigned by Mechanical Engineers, Senior Engineers, and the Engineering Manager/Director.
• Assist in producing detailed schematics for HVAC systems based on instructions and pre-established guidelines.
• Assist Mechanical Engineers by participating in job site surveys to gather as-built technical information.
• Draft and develop layouts for mechanical systems based on direction from Mechanical Engineers.
• Convert field surveys into usable formats for plan and project development. Use AutoCAD to develop plans.
• Participate in the company’s project improvement process by maintaining/improving CAD Detail Library and CAD Standards.
• Other duties may include copying/printing/scanning, assembly of equipment submittal packages, assistance in preparing work scope, and other tasks as assigned.
