Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAD engineer to develop and maintain accurate 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks for bi-folding and hydraulic door systems. You will modify designs, maintain electrical layouts, and prepare fabrication prints to support shop floor operations.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in drafting, design technology, engineering support, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency using 3D and 2D CAD software, with experience in SolidWorks preferred; familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar design platforms is beneficial.
  • Experience developing detailed production, fabrication, and manufacturing documentation for industrial products or assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and mechanical design documentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing methods such as sheet metal processing, machining, welding, and assembly operations is advantageous.
  • Highly organized with the ability to maintain accuracy and consistency across multiple projects and design changes.
  • Capable of balancing competing priorities, coordinating revisions, and delivering work within established timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities when supporting design and manufacturing challenges.

Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hector, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
