Responsibilities
  • Support mechanical design and integration tasks for assigned assemblies and interfaces based on system-level and component-level requirements.
  • Create and revise 3D CAD models and detailed 2D engineering drawings, ensuring documentation quality and adherence to applicable standards.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) practices to mechanical drawings in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Develop and maintain released documentation, including models, drawings, and associated engineering records.
  • Execute engineering changes through configuration control processes, including engineering change orders (ECOs) and configuration management procedures.
  • Participate in and support configuration control boards (CCB) or similar configuration management activities to ensure design integrity.
  • Provide sustaining engineering support for released hardware, including design updates, improvements, and issue resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve build, test, and production issues using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mechanical designs meet performance, manufacturability, and quality requirements.
  • Document analyses, design dispositions, and engineering changes clearly and accurately for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing timely updates on design status, issues, and resolutions.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience in an industrial, automotive, aerospace, or defense environment.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD tools, with strong preference for Creo, including creation and modification of complex models.
