Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. seeks a Distribution Supervisor to oversee campus utility distribution systems including steam, chilled water, and domestic water networks, and the mechanical spaces that support them.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 6+ years in utility distribution or infrastructure maintenance.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
• Daily on-site attendance is required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Willing to comply with ENGIE safety policies.
• 70% outdoor work with exposure to weather conditions.
• Proficiency with CMMS and SCADA/BAS systems.
• Knowledge of steam, chilled water, and domestic water systems.
• Understanding of distribution systems and process diagrams.
• ASME B31.1/31.3 piping codes knowledge.

What You Can Expect

As our Distribution Supervisor you are responsible for the reliable operation and maintenance of the campus utility distribution systems - including steam, chilled water, and domestic water networks - and the associated mechanical spaces that support them. This role ensures safe, efficient, and continuous utility delivery across all facilities while leading maintenance activities, capital renewal efforts, and a team of skilled technicians, and will report to the Distribution Manager . This newly created position is responsible for developing the cross-campus maintenance program (Maximo) and owning all Engie scope in mechanical rooms across campus. Additionally, this role will develop the operational oversight documents (Logs, WOs, PMs, round sheets related to the BESO and temporary utilities on campus.

You will:

• Assist with scheduling, developing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on all distribution mechanical spaces, all BESO-related equipment, and temporary utilities, including piping, valves, vaults and working closely with the university stakeholders to maintain the highest level of communication
• Participate in weekly and ad hoc meetings with the university
• Step into the Distribution Manager role in their absence and gather campus distribution details
• Be responsible for safe and efficient maintenance of distribution equipment in accordance with ENGIE procedures and equipment manufacturer's procedures
• Assist in the management of preventive and corrective maintenance for piping, valves, tunnels, and vaults and mechanical spaces
• Supervise maintenance of all mechanical spaces supporting utility distribution
• Assist in leading, training, and developing a team of utility distribution technicians
• Plan, coordinate, and execute system shutdowns, tie-ins, and outage support
• Utilize CMMS, like Maximo, to manage work orders, scheduling, and asset tracking
• Collaborate with central plant operations, engineering, and construction teams on capital projects
• Monitor system performance through SCADA/BAS and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Develop and manage annual maintenance budgets and resource plans
• Present engineering and economic analysis, plans, and recommendations to plant staff, management, directors, and customers
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Distribution Manager or Operations and Maintenance Manager

What You'll Bring

• Minimum High school diploma or GED; with a minimum 6 years experience in utility distribution, central plant, or infrastructure maintenance
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role, including leading or directing the work of other
• This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily basis
• Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license; will drive company
• Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
• This position consists of 70% outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions
• Proficiency with CMMS and SCADA/BAS systems.
• knowledge of steam, chilled water, and domestic water systems, including hydraulics and thermodynamics.
• Thorough knowledge of all distribution systems and understanding of process diagrams and operating instructions
• Extensive knowledge of steam production and chilled water facilities
• Ability to use analytical judgment to plan and perform diversified work, making decisions within prescribed limitations
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and take direction from others
• Ability to work overtime, as well as any schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASME B31.1 and B31.3 piping codes and standards

Compensation

Hourly Range: $52.88 to $67.31 USD hourly

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
