Job summary

Sky Limit Systems is seeking a Mechanical Development Engineer to lead mechanical development projects from concept to production release. You will coordinate across mechanical, electrical, systems, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to ensure meeting performance and schedule goals.

You will drive design reviews, create plans and technical requirements, and help transition designs into production while adhering to aerospace/defense standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering development.
• Experience taking engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical development projects from concept through production release.
• Develop and maintain project plans, technical requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across multiple engineering disciplines throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead design reviews, technical discussions, and status meetings.
• Support testing, validation, qualification, and verification activities.
• Identify risks and drive appropriate resolutions.
• Ensure documentation and drawings are completed accurately and on schedule.
