Job summary

Honda seeks an entry-level chassis design engineer to design chassis parts and systems that meet schedule, performance, and cost goals. You will model parts in 3D, release drawings in CATIA, and collaborate across design, test, factory, purchasing and suppliers.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or automotive engineering and 0–2 years of related experience, with CATIA V5/V6 and MS Office proficiency. Occasional travel and overtime may be required, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or automotive engineering required.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; co-op experience preferred.
• Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6 and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Design chassis parts and systems to meet schedule and performance targets.
• Model parts in 3D and release 2D drawings and specs in CATIA and MS Office.
• Collaborate with design, test, factory, purchasing and suppliers.
• Plan milestones, attend meetings, and track open items.
• Review costs and propose improvements to meet design intent.
• Share development progress with team and leadership.
• Complete required training and apply best practices.
