Job summary

Kondex Corporation, based in Wisconsin, is seeking a Mechanical Designer to create and support product designs across a wide range of offerings. You will lead design projects, develop complex 3D models, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to meet design and cost targets.

The role requires an associate degree in Mechanical Design Technology and at least 2 years of design/drafting experience in manufacturing, with strong SolidWorks skills and ERP/PM experience.

Qualifications

• 2 years of product design and drafting experience in a manufacturing environment using 3D modeling software.
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including SharePoint and MS Project.
• Experience with Project Management, New Product Development, ERP software and part creation.
• Strong communication, adaptability, initiative and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain complex 3D part and assembly models in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Create new parts and BOMs in ERP to release drawings for production.
• Coordinate engineering changes and maintain design revision history.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional design reviews.
• Work with suppliers on product design and costs for materials and assemblies.
• Coordinate prototype builds for testing and field/lab evaluations.
• Support manufacturing by interpreting drawings and resolving issues.
• Create product cost estimates to ensure design intent can be met.
• Travel to suppliers/customers/trade shows/test sites up to 25%.
