Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Mechanical Designer to generate precise 3D CAD drawings and 2D fabrication/spool drawings, while creating BOMs for fabrication. You will work within a multi-discipline team and proactively communicate on schedules and technical challenges.

Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Plant 3D is required, with Revit as an asset. CSWP is preferred. The role supports diverse markets including water, industrial, municipal and electronics sectors.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent with CAD drafting/design using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Experience with SOLIDWORKS Routing and Weldments add-ins.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Generate accurate 3D CAD drawings (70%).
• Produce 2D fabrication, spool drawings and BOMs (30%).
• Collaborate in a multi-discipline team and communicate on schedule and challenges.
