Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions seeks a Mechanical Designer to create custom automation and robotic solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform engineering calculations, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.

The role reports to the Director of Operations. The position involves designing tooling and end-of-arm tooling, supporting manufacturing, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while traveling within the

Qualifications

• Mechanical design of custom automation and robotic solutions.
• Experience with tooling, pneumatics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel within US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Design and document 3D/2D CAD layouts for automation systems.
• Create 2D assemblies, pneumatic schematics, BOMs, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Controls, and Build teams to meet safety and ergonomics standards.
• Support manufacturing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage project budgets and schedule to meet client timelines.
