Job summary

ArtiFlex Automation is seeking a Machine Designer to join our Automation division. You will develop 3D mechanical designs for automated manufacturing equipment and create precise 2D drawings with GD&T per standards.

Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and have 2+ years in design of custom automation, using SolidWorks or Catia, reading specs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams onsite.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of mechanical design for automation or automated manufacturing equipment.
• Strong reading of customer specs, procedures and design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D mechanical designs for automated manufacturing equipment per customer requirements and standards.
• Create accurate 2D detail drawings and assembly layouts with proper dimensioning and GD&T.
• Develop sequence charts and perform cycle-time evaluations to validate operations.
