TES Recruiting is partnering with an industrial equipment manufacturer to hire a Mechanical Designer for its Sales Applications Engineering team. The role develops equipment layouts and production-line concepts based on customer requirements, collaborating with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to create practical designs that consider space, integration, material flow, and project needs.

Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, industrial design, applications engineering, or related discipline.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor, including assembly management and configurations.
Understanding of equipment layout, material handling, system integration, accessibility, safety, and manufacturability.

Responsabilités

Develop conceptual designs and equipment layouts for integrated processing and production lines.
Use AutoCAD to prepare and revise equipment and system layouts.
Create 3D parametric models using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
Develop assemblies and system configurations that support equipment integration and layout planning.
Coordinate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to align designs with company capabilities, cost targets, safety requirements, and delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate design documentation, configurations, and revision control.
Support the handoff of approved concepts from proposals into detailed engineering and project execution.
