Job summary

Actalent in Sussex, WI is seeking a mechanical drafter to translate specifications into detailed layouts and drawings for machinery. You will modify existing 3D models in SolidWorks and assist engineers with design tasks.

You will compile Bills of Materials, ECNs, and maintain design documentation while supporting Lean initiatives and cross-functional collaboration to ensure manufacturability and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong math, blueprint reading skills.
• Excellent computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and SolidWorks. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Team player and self-motivated. Ability to work attentively and efficiently at producing high quality work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude. Basic knowledge of industrial machines and manufacturing processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Draft and modify layouts, assemblies, and drawings.
• Detail engineering concepts and compile documentation.
• Collaborate with shop personnel to ensure manufacturability.
• Produce ECNs and maintain PDM documentation.
• Support Lean initiatives and process improvements.
