Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Mechanical Designer in Shreveport, LA to support complete designs of mechanical and piping systems. You will work under general supervision to draft moderately complex drawings from P&ID’s, GA’s, and equipment layouts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, an associate degree in engineering tech or CAD, and proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and Microstation. Knowledge of piping materials and supports is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 2+ years of mechanical/piping drafting and design experience.
• Familiarity with piping materials, supports, and basic sizing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of mechanical/piping assignments under supervision.
• Develop design and drafting of moderately complex piping drawings from P&ID’s, GA’s, and equipment drawings.
• Perform field design to verify conditions and support construction.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings and assist in startup activities.
