Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a mechanical/piping designer to perform complete designs and assist in larger projects. You'll draft piping layouts from P&IDs, GA drawings, and specs, and gather material take-offs for construction support.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD is required.
• 4+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical/piping drafting and design.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete designs of mechanical/piping assignments under supervision.
• Assist in design of larger and more complex piping projects.
• Develop design and drafting of moderately complex piping drawings from basic information.
• Prepare material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Create accurate mechanical/piping installation documents from vendor drawings.
• Coordinate with disciplines and respond to scope/design changes promptly.
