Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Piping Designer to execute comprehensive mechanical/piping designs under supervision. You will work with P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment drawings and piping specs to develop moderate complexity layouts and support field design activities.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in engineering tech or CAD, 4+ years in industrial piping drafting, strong knowledge of piping materials, supports, and 2D CAD tools, plus effective

Qualifications

• Knowledge of piping materials, supports, and restraints.
• Experience drafting P&IDs and GA drawings.
• Familiarity with 2D AutoCAD and Microstation standards.
• Ability to estimate completion of assigned tasks and communicate changes.

Responsibilities

• Developing piping drawings from P&ID’s, GA’s and specs.
• Performing field design work to confirm conditions and assist startup.
• Preparing material take-offs from piping drawings.
• Planning site design activities for optimal results.
• Communicating scope and design changes promptly.
