Job summary

DivIHN Integration Inc seeks a Mechanical Designer to join our Wilmington, NC team onsite for a 6-month engagement. You will design and refine mechanical equipment using AutoCAD and Inventor, aligning with client drafting standards to optimize production systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of mechanical design experience, knowledge of machining and fabrication, and a safety-focused mindset. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.

Qualifications

• AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology or BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in mechanical design.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and translate engineering solutions into equipment design requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to job site safety.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including machining and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver mechanical equipment designs and layouts using AutoCAD and Inventor, ensuring compliance with client drafting standards.
• Produce and maintain detailed drawing packages, build packages, machine part lists, illustrations, and equipment specifications for production systems.
• Redesign mechanical components to reduce installation costs, resolve equipment interferences, and correct design deficiencies.
• Execute design changes to address equipment or process challenges, ensuring all designs meet functional and performance requirements.
• Provide detailed sketches and marked-up drawings to address evolving project needs.
