Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) seeks Mechanical Designers at Arnold AFB, TN to develop complex CAD models and coordiante with engineers on aerospace projects supporting the USAF Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Roles range from entry to senior levels, requiring drafting expertise, DoD clearance eligibility, and familiarity with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Plant 3D.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of drafting/design courses.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Experience with Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Plant 3D).
• Minimum design/drafting experience: 6 years (Designer I), 9 years (Designer II), 11 years (Designer III).

Responsibilities

• Generate complex 2-D or 3-D CAD models and coordinate with engineers and designers.
• Coordinate site visits and resolve drawing issues.
• Maintain and access job drawing files, records, and drawing controls.
• Review and check design models, drawings, and documents for quality and accuracy.
• Provide on-the-job training for less experienced drafters and designers.
