Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking a Drafter-CAD Operator at Arnold Air Force Base, Arnold, TN. You will develop and maintain piping layouts, electrical drawings, and facility layouts using CAD tools, supporting USAF Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineers, producing shop drawings, and creating 3-D models for new and upgraded systems, with opportunities for growth and internal/external candidate consideration.

Qualifications

• Vocational school drafting certification or 9 semester hours of college with drafting/design courses plus 1 year of drafting experience.
• Current US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings from rough sketches or existing prints following established standards.
• Generate 3-D CAD models based on information from others.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and other designers.
• Maintain and access drawing files and controls.
• Make basic mathematical calculations related to drawings.
• Prepare as-built drawings reflecting changes during construction or operation.
