Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a mechanical designer for HVAC and plumbing systems in the retail/light commercial sector. The Designer will support equipment sizing, ductwork and plumbing design for projects nationwide, collaborating closely with the project manager and in-house designers.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of building design experience and is proficient in Autodesk Revit. This on-site role requires collaboration with clients and plan reviewers across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years experience with building or building system design.
• Preference for mechanical system design experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit software.
• Must work on-site (No Remote Work)

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations and size mechanical equipment.
• Size and design ductwork and plumbing for HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with project manager, electrical designer, clients and plan reviewers.
• Work on retail and light commercial projects across the United States.
