Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a mechanical designer for HVAC and plumbing systems in the retail/light commercial sector. The Designer will support equipment sizing, ductwork and plumbing design for projects nationwide, collaborating closely with the project manager and in-house designers.

The ideal candidate has 1–4 years of building design experience and is proficient in Autodesk Revit. This on-site role requires collaboration with clients and plan reviewers across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years experience with building or building system design.
• Preference for mechanical system design experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk Revit software.
• Must work on-site (No Remote Work)

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations and size mechanical equipment.
• Size and design ductwork and plumbing for HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with project manager, electrical designer, clients and plan reviewers.
• Work on retail and light commercial projects across the United States.

Job description

Engineering Firm specializing in HVAC and Plumbing Systems is seeking a mechanical designer for the retail/light commercial group. Designer will be working on both HVAC and plumbing design for retail and light commercial projects throughout the United States.

This designer will be working closely with the in-house project manager and electrical designer as well as communicating with clients and plan reviewers. This person will also be responsible for performing load calculations, sizing mechanical equipment, ductwork sizing/design, and plumbing sizing/design.

Qualifications:

• Candidates need between 1 and 4 years experience with building and/or building system design.
• Preference will be given for mechanical system design experience.
• Candidate must be competent with Autodesk Revit software.
• Must be able to work in Office(No Remote Work)
