Job summary

EXP, an award-winning international engineering firm, seeks a Mechanical Designer/Engineer for Mission Critical and Commercial building projects in the Atlanta area (Sandy Springs). You will work with a talented team, develop scope and design documents, and coordinate across disciplines to meet project milestones.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience.
• EIT or PE credential preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Building design experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Proficient with AutoCAD and able to prepare and review calculations.
• Coordinate with MEP/Arch/Struct disciplines and other teams.
• Develop scope of work narratives and design documentation (SD/DD/CD).
• Manage design process within project hours and milestones.
• Mentor and lead design staff on daily tasks to meet quality standards.
• Review and respond to RFIs and submittals; QA/QC of calculations.
