Job summary

Heat and Control is seeking a skilled designer to create stainless steel food processing systems using Autodesk Inventor 3D. The role involves developing sheet metal parts for fabrication, weldments, and complete assemblies, with close collaboration on ELDs and release for manufacturing.

You will contribute to production planning, assist with material purchasing, and generate detailed Inventor drawings after ELD approval. Prior experience with SAP and sheet metal is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum AS in Drafting & Design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Inventor 3D design software.
• Experience with sheet metal and structural steel preferred.
• Experience with SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design stainless steel food processing systems in Autodesk Inventor 3D software.
• Create sheet metal parts for fabrication on laser and press brake, tube components and weldments, pipe components and weldments, and complete mechanical assemblies.
• Assist with Engineering Layout Drawing (ELD) generation based on design parameters from the Project Engineer.
• Create detailed drawings of Inventor models and assemblies after ELD approval for release to manufacturing.
• Production planning, including: Mechanical release from engineering to manufacturing; Coordinate purchasing of special or custom materials; Plotting all drawings.
